Dr. Rishabh Shah is board-certified general surgeon and bariatric surgeon who provides bariatric and general surgery consultation and follow-up care at CHI Memorial Surgical Associates and CHI Memorial Metabolic and Bariatric Care.Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed both his residency and fellowship in surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, under the tutelage of one of the foremost authorities in minimally invasive advanced general and bariatric surgery. He joined CHI Memorial in 2020, coming back home to Chattanooga. His team treats obesity with an emphasis on helping patients overcome their disease through a combination of surgical and medical interventions. He also is a foregut specialist and treats reflux, hiatal hernia, and other complex diseases of the foregut of the GI tract.Dr. Shah's philosophy of care centers on building strong, respectful relationships with his patients, tailoring treatment to their individual needs and goals.
