Dr. Kathryn M. Syed

Kathryn Syed, MD is the Director of Primary Care at Ibis Healthcare.

Following her residency, Dr. Syed relocated to Tampa, Florida, where she has dedicated her career to community health. She joined Ibis (formerly Gracepoint) where she has played a key role in expanding primary care services and integrating physical and behavioral healthcare for individuals with mental health conditions. She also established Gracepoint’s Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program to address substance use disorders.

Dr. Syed has a special interest in the integration of whole-person primary care, infectious disease, and chronic health conditions. She is committed to improving access to comprehensive, compassionate care and seeking root causes for illness.

Dr. Syed is deeply committed to preventive care and believes in staying ahead of illness through early intervention, education, and patient empowerment. She embraces a “food is medicine” approach, emphasizing the role of nutrition, lifestyle, and wellness in preventing and managing chronic conditions. Through her practice, she helps patients take an active role in their health, combining evidence-based medicine with compassion.
