Overview
Dr. Winkler is the System Chief, of the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery: Urogynecology at Northwell Health and Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is in active clinician, as well as and academician. Clinically he manages patients with all types of pelvic floor dysfunction and specifically, patients with pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Dr. Winkler is a skilled surgeon and performs pelvic reconstructive procedures laparoscopically/robotically, abdominally, and vaginally. This ability to perform pelvic floor reconstructive procedures through various routes allows Dr. Winkler the ability to individually tailor treatment options for each patientDr. Winkler is a mentor and trains medical students, residents and fellows and was awarded the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award for Excellence in Resident Education in June of 2012.
