Dr. Carlos Picone served as Vice-Chair, Department of Internal Medicine at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. and Chairman of the Pulmonary Medicine Division. Dr. Picone received his medical degree from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina in 1989, graduating summa cum laude. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia, and Fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at the National Institutes of Health and in Pulmonary Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia.
