Overview
Dr. McWhirter is a native of Glen Burnie, Maryland and has been practicing in Columbus since 2001. She received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Maryland and her Medical Doctorate from Emory University in Atlanta. She completed her residency at Emory University and served an extra year as Pediatric Chief Resident, Clinical Instructor.
Dr. McWhirter is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and serves on the Pediatrics Faculty at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital. She is serving on the Hospital Authority Board and is a board member of the Piedmont Columbus Regional Health system.
