I applied to medical school with a primary interest in forensic pathology; however, I quickly found patient interaction much more rewarding. I then chose a combined field in internal medicine and pediatrics. I have practiced medicine in North Carolina since 2002. After I moved to Durham, I was told I needed to choose light blue or dark blue, but have remained a true Mountaineer at heart. I am married with two energetic boys. I graduated from an internal medicine residency program in 2002. I have been working as a full-time internist since 2004. I grew up in India. I recently relocated to the Triangle area for a better quality of life. I have two children, and I love to spend time with my family and friends.
