I strive to create a supportive environment where families feel empowered and informed, and where every child – regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status or background – receives the highest quality care. | Why I entered medicine | I entered medicine to create the kind of environment I wish I had experienced as a child – one where physicians listen to the story of a patient’s life beyond the exam room. I was drawn to pediatrics because I wanted to build lasting, meaningful relationships with families and to be a trusted presence in their lives. My goal is to be an advocate – someone in the community who families can count on to stand alongside them in caring for their children’s health with empathy, respect and dedication. | Personal interests | When not at work, I am home with my fiancé and my Bernese mountain dog, Moose. We love to be in nature – hiking, biking or getting out on the water. I visit national parks every year with my little sister, and I love a good BBQ at my parents' house on weekends.
