Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Damore attended college at Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he graduated summa cum laude in Biology. He continued on to medical school at the University of Cincinnati. Next, he completed five years of General Surgery residency at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center. Having a great interest in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Damore spent a year at the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery at Ohio State University. He then moved to the Phoenix area to begin practice with Advanced Surgical Associates in 1999.Dr. Damore is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Special professional interests include minimally invasive surgery, single incision laparoscopic surgery, and medical education. Born and raised in north central Indiana, Dr. Masur attended Wabash College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. While in college, he was a member of the Alpha-Pi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He then received his medical training at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
