Dr. Michael Dorsi, MD is a neurosurgery specialist in Ventura, CA and has been practicing for 6 years. Dr. Dorsi then completed residency training in neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital where he trained under some of the most prominent leaders in neurosurgery. In addition to general neurosurgery training. He developed a unique sub-specialty skillset in complex peripheral nerve surgery.During residency, he was awarded a prestigious fellowship from the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine and dedicated two years to researching spinal cord injury and stem cell transplantation at UCLA. He then returned to Johns Hopkins Hospital and served as Assistant Chief of Service of Neurosurgery.Following residency, Dr. Dorsi was honored as the recipient of the Cloward Fellowship for Spine and Peripheral Nerve Surgery from the American Academy of Neurological Surgery and completed a one-year minimally invasive and complex spine fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Dorsi joined Ventura County Neurosurgical Associates in 2012.
