Overview
Paul Mitsuyama, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who employs targeted radiation therapy to destroy cancer cells while preserving and maintaining the health of tissues around them. He has experience in both high- and low-dose-rate brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies and prostate cancer, respectively. He also has expertise in intensity-modulated radiation therapy and three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy for a variety of conditions including head and neck cancers, brain tumors, lung cancer and gastrointestinal diseases such as colorectal cancer.Dr. Mitsuyama is a strong believer in patient education. He is committed to ensuring all of his patients fully understand their diagnosis, as well as the reason for receiving radiation therapy. He is also highly focused on patient safety and enjoys the opportunity to help people that his role as a radiation oncologist provides.Away from work, Dr. Mitsuyama enjoys spending time with his family, including his adopted animals. He likes to cycle, play tennis and snowboard in his free time.
