Dr. Otis B. Rickman

Dr. Rickman served as director of the interventional pulmonology section at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, from 2009-2023. He is a founding partner of the Ascension Saint Thomas Chest and Lung Center and serves as Director of Interventional Pulmonology and Bronchoscopy for the Ascension Saint Thomas Health system. He is Professor of Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He has been recognized by many national societies and is a former member of the AABIP Board of Directors. The American College of Chest Physicians has recognized him on multiple occasions as a Distinguished CHEST Educator and he is actively involved in procedural education at the local, national, and international levels. His clinical and translational research interests focus on medical devices, early diagnosis, and prevention of lung cancer. His clinical work is on lung nodules, lung cancer, pleural diseases and interventional pulmonology.
