Dr. Michele Molinari

Christopher Hughes, MD, FACS is the surgical director of the UPMC Liver Transplant Program and is certified in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary by the American Board of Surgery. He is an associate professor of surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Hughes received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine where he also completed his residency in general surgery. He completed his fellowship in transplantation surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dr. Hughes’s clinical interests include liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery with a focus on infectious disease in solid organ transplantation.
