I am grateful for the opportunity to practice cardiology and to improve people's lives in truly meaningful ways. My clinical practice is focused on patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension and complex valvular disease. Modern medicine is complicated, and I strive to help patients and families understand their conditions and treatment options as completely as possible. I work with patients to develop an individualized treatment approach that best satisfies their goals of care. It is a privilege to practice at Duke. I am a pediatric cardiologist who cares for children with congenital or acquired heart disease and adults with congenital heart disease. I am the director of the Duke Pediatric/Congenital Cardiac MRI Program and a member of the Duke Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center. I am also the program director for the Duke Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program and am passionate about training the next generation of pediatric cardiologists.
