Dr. Joshua E. Levenson

Dennis M. McNamara, MD, MS, is a cardiologist and is certified in both cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is the director of the Center for Heart Failure Research at UPMC and is a professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He utilizes techniques such as catheter ablation to treat atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, implantation of pacemaker-defibrillators, and left atrial appendage occlusion. Dr. Voigt has authored or co-authored numerous peer reviewed publications. He participates in clinical research evaluating new techniques for treatment of atrial fibrillation and novel devices to treat heart failure and slow heart rhythms. He is a fellow in the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology. He participates in the standard setting process for American Board of Internal Medicine Clinical Electrophysiology recertification examinations (CMP).
