Dr. Naeem Rahman
Overview
Dr. Naeem Rahman is the medical director for Atlantic Medical Group Urology in Union and Somerset Counties. A board-certified urologist, he specializes in the treatment of urological cancers, with a focus on prostate and bladder cancer, as well as diseases and disorders of the urinary tract in both men and women. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Rahman is known for his expertise in nerve-sparing surgery, robotic surgery, open surgery, and advanced focal therapies like cryotherapy and ablation for salvage prostate cancer. He is committed to restoring normal function and improving the quality of life for his patients, offering a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to prostate cancer treatment, including active surveillance and a focus on men’s sexual health.Dr. Rahman delivers concierge-level care, providing both surgical and clinical excellence while maintaining a warm, compassionate approach. He served as chief of Urology and director of Robotic Surgery at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, overseeing nearly 1,000 robotic and laparoscopic procedures. In addition, he directed an advanced prostate cancer clinic, providing the latest treatment options for patients with disease progression. His practice offers a robust male sexual health medicine program, with specialized care for erectile dysfunction (ED).Dedicated to advancing state-of-the-art therapeutics, Dr. Rahman has served as a primary investigator on several clinical trials for bladder and prostate cancer. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Robotic Surgery. After earning his degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC, Dr. Rahman completed residency programs in surgery and urology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. He is an assistant clinical professor at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Dr. Rahman is also a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
