Dr. Louis H. Zbinden
Overview
Dr. Zbinden is President of Surgical Specialists of Charlotte, and previously served as Vice-President. He has served as chairman of the departments of surgery at Atrium Health Mercy and Atrium Health Pineville. He is past-president of the medical staff of Atrium Health Pineville. Dr. Zbinden is the current chairman of the credentials committee for both Atrium Health Mercy and Pineville. Additionally, he was elected chairman of the CMC-Charlotte “system-wide” credentials committee, and was named “physician of the year” at Atrium Health Pineville in 2007.
Dr. Zbinden is a current member of both the North Carolina Medical Society and the Mecklenburg County Medical Society. He is also on the teaching faculty at Atrium Health Carolina’s Medical Center. He serves as a Trauma Surgeon for Atrium Health Carolina’s Medical Center and operates in both the Atrium and Novant Health facilities.
