Our Cancer Center is staffed with a comprehensive team of Board-Certified Gynecologic Oncologists, standing by to meet Gynecologic Cancer needs in Thurston County and surrounding areas. Whether navigating a new diagnosis of ovarian, uterine, vulvar, or cervical cancer – or looking for a surgeon to address a complex gynecologic need, rest assured that world class care is available right here in Olympia. We recognize that every cancer and every patient is unique. Therefore, we provide a full spectrum approach - offering minimally invasive as well as open comprehensive surgical procedures for malignancy and complex cases, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, radiation oncology, as well as adjunctive capabilities such as naturopathic medicine, physical therapy, lymphedema therapy, and clinical trials. Our cancer center in Lacey is comprehensive, cutting edge, and located all under one roof. We are proudly part of the Providence-Swedish network, with the ability to partner with nationally recognized experts in our field. Bahman Saffari, MD, PhD, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship trained in gynecologic oncology. Dr. Saffari is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for his patients by providing nurturing, compassionate care using the most effective, innovative surgical and medical treatments possible.Dr. Saffari is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an affiliate investigator for the Gynecologic Oncology Group and a member of the Pierce County Medical Society. Dr. Saffari is fluent in Farsi and can speak medical Spanish.In his spare time, Dr. Saffari enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and kayaking.
