Why I entered medicine | I have always been interested medicine. Many members of my family are physicians. Why I entered medicine | I was 10 years old when I was diagnosed with a congenital abnormality of my right hip. At the time, I was an active athlete, and sports kept me focused. So, when I was told I would need two surgeries in two years and that I would be lucky to walk without a limp but likely not play sports again, I was devastated.
