Philosophy of care | I prefer to keep things simple and easy, treating patients as I would like to be treated. I listen to what the patient is telling me. I explain the diagnosis and treatment options as clearly and succinctly as possible so my patients can make informed decisions about their care. I stick with what works best for me and my patients in the office and in surgery, always wanting the best outcome possible. | Why I entered medicine | It was easy for me to follow my father, a well-respected obstetrician/gynecologist, into a medical career. I wanted to combine my love of sports and interest in how an athlete was able to return to play after a devastating injury by becoming a sports medicine doctor. I envisioned myself as the team doctor running onto the field to tend to the stricken athlete; now, it's a reality. | Community involvement | I'm involved with the Maimonides Society of the Lehigh Valley, the Lehigh Valley Dawgs (minor league basketball) and multiple charitable donations and endeavors. I also serve as a radio talk show sports injury consultant, an assistant team physician at Central Catholic High School and an orthopedic surgeon for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers' AHL affiliate).
