Dr. Alessandro Paniccia
Overview
Alessandro Paniccia, MD, FACS, is a surgical oncologist and specializes in pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery. Dr. Paniccia's research interests include pancreatic cancer and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Paniccia is board-certified in general surgery. He received his medical degree from Sapienza University of Rome in Italy. Dr. Paniccia completed residencies in general surgery at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the University of Colorado. He completed a research fellowship at the University of Colorado, followed by a fellowship in complex surgical oncology at UPMC. Dr. Paniccia is a member of the Roman Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, American Medical Association, and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
