
Overview
A native of Sacramento, Dr. Michael Kearns is a highly-regarded and experienced board-certified otolaryngologist who has been practicing in the Sacramento area since 1986. In addition to general otolaryngology, Dr. Kearns' special clinical interests include snoring and sleep apnea treatments, facial skin cancers and nasal/sinus disease.Dr. Kearns has been widely involved in the medical community and has won many leadership awards for his service to his patients, including being voted by local physicians as one of the top Otolaryngologists (Sacramento Magazine) in 2007 and being selected as Hero in Healthcare in 1998. Dr. Kearns currently serves as Chief of Otolaryngology at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael. In addition, Dr. Kearns has previously served Chief of Otolaryngology at Sutter Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Sacramento. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.Dr. Kearns earned his undergraduate degree from St. Mary's College in Moraga, California, where he was awarded Magna Cum Laude and graduated first in his class. He then obtained his medical degree from University of California, Irvine, where he was a Regents Scholar. Dr. Kearns completed an internship in general surgery and a residency training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the University of California, San Diego. During his residency in otolaryngology, he served as Chief Resident.Dr. Kearns is a fellow of the American Academy of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the California and Sacramento Societies of Otolaryngology. He is affiliated with Mercy San Juan Hospital, Carmichael and Sutter Hospital in Roseville.

Tim A. Fife, MD has been a member of Sacramento Ear, Nose & Throat Surgical and Medical Group, Inc since 2014. Dr. Fife is board certified and is a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.Dr. Fife practices all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, including the medical and surgical treatment of most ear, nose and throat conditions in both children and adults. He has special interest in the evaluation and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders. As part of his assessment of maladies of the voice, he utilizes laryngeal stroboscopy to analyze vocal cord mobility and diagnose a variety of voice pathologies, including chronic hoarseness, vocal cord injuries, tracheal stenosis and benign and malignant lesions of the larynx. For many conditions, he is able to offer both medical and surgical treatment options.Dr. Fife grew up in the Central Valley and attended Brigham Young University where he completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience. He subsequently received his medical training at the University of California, Davis. He then headed east to Wake Forest, where he completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. His research has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at national meetings around the country.When not at work, Dr. Fife enjoys spending time with his family – his wife, Cami, and three young children, Charlie, Anna and Jane. His hobbies include cycling, creative writing and listening to music. He is fluent in German and conversant in American Sign Language.
