Matthew A. Facktor, MD, FACS, is a general thoracic surgeon and system chair of Thoracic Surgery for the Geisinger Heart Institute. Dr. Facktor obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his general surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and his thoracic surgery fellowship at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
