Family and medicine have always been important aspects of my life. My medical career began in Western North Carolina where I served the health care needs of my patients for 20 years and where my wife and I raised our two wonderful kids. My hope is to continue this standard with my patients at duke Health by focusing on preventative medicine, promoting healthy lifestyles, and helping people of all ages reach their maximum health potential. Family medicine allows me the privilege of knowing the whole family, which further helps me to take care of specific needs. I enjoy spending time with my family, our friends, and our church family. I've been active in many endurance sporting events over the years with a current focus on cycling.
