Dr. Jose T. Loveria

Jennifer Janus, M.D., is an internal medicine-pediatrics physician with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. After earning her bachelor’s degree, with a major in biology and minor in psychology, from Johns Hopkins University in 1994, she attended medical school at the University of Maryland, graduating in 2002. She went on to complete her residency in internal medicine-pediatrics at the University of Michigan in 2006. Dr. Janus is also a clinical instructor with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. She enjoys teaching and has precepted pre-medical, medical and nurse practitioner students. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, she was an assistant professor at West Virginia University Medical System-East. While in medical school, she taught board review courses and tutored first year students. During her residency, she helped create an “Intern Boot Camp” to educate first year residents on common inpatient issues. When she joined the Johns Hopkins team, Dr. Janus created an educational series to help train medical assistants at her Hagerstown practice. She has also provided lectures to the community on topics including Lyme disease and Substance Use Disorder. Dr. Janus provides primary care to patients of all ages and is particularly interested in mental health and substance use disorders.
