Dr. Davis completed his undergraduate degree with a major in physics and a minor in Spanish at Middlebury College in Vermont. He completed medical school and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Davis’ fellowship experience includes hand surgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center, Jefferson University, and shoulder and elbow surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and Cornell University Hospital in New York City. Lt Col Henderson brings over 30 years of distinguished service to the United States Air Force, with a career that spans roles as an enlisted pharmacy technician, cadet, fighter pilot, and orthopedic hand surgeon. After enlisting in 1989, he earned an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy, graduating in 1996. He went on to fly the F-15C as a mission commander based out of Kadena AB, Japan, and was awarded the Air Medal for over 100 hours of combat time patrolling the Northern No Fly Zone over Iraq during the events of September 11, 2001.Following his aviation career, Lt Col Henderson pursued medicine, earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2006. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Uniformed Health Education Consortium in San Antonio and a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Since 2012, he has served at the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he has held leadership roles as Chief of Hand Surgery, Chief of Orthopedic Surgery, and Chief of Surgery for the 10th Medical Group.
