Overview
Dr. Blitstein is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He performs advanced laparoscopic procedures when appropriate and provides the full range of general surgical care for:
• Treatment of varicose veins
• Hernia repair
• Stomach disease, including acid reflux disease
• Gallbladder and biliary disease, including the pancreas
• Small intestine disease
• Colon cancer and diverticular disease
• Anorectal disorders, including hemorrhoid disease

Dr. Blitstein has been Chief of Surgery at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center and Carolinas Healthcare System-University. Dr. Blitstein provides surgical services at both Atrium and Novant Health systems, and sees patients in our Huntersville & University offices.
