Dr. Steven Levin is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2015 with 20 years of experience in pain management. He previously served on the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and Yale University, and comes to Johns Hopkins from New Haven, Connecticut, where he was partner and director at Advanced Diagnostic Pain Management Treatment Center. Experienced in comprehensive pain management, Dr. Levin treats patients with a wide range of chronic pain conditions, such as spine-related pain, nerve injury, neuropathic pain, cancer pain, joint disease, myofascial pain and biomechanical dysfunction. In Connecticut, he worked with the American Alliance of Pain Initiatives to help develop standards of pain treatment for The Joint Commission, an organization that accredits health care organizations in the U.S. He also served as a co-chair of the American Cancer Society’s Connecticut Cancer Pain Initiative and is a board member of the non-profit Health Assistance Intervention Education Network in Connecticut.
