Overview
Juan C. Abril, M.D., is a pulmonologist with Johns Hopkins Medicine Pulmonology. He currently serves as the Associate Director of the Johns Hopkins Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Center and is the Associate Program Director for the Advanced Lung Disease Fellowship. His research focuses on the intersection between ILD and pulmonary hypertension, particularly in patients with systemic sclerosis. He is currently a co-Principal Investigator for a clinical trial of therapy for scleroderma associated pulmonary hypertension supported by the Department of Defense Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program. He is active in numerous societies and serves as the Chair of the Research Committee for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
