Dr. Yasgur earned both his BS and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 1981 and 1982. He then worked as an Orthopaedic Engineer at the Hospital for Special Surgery from 1983 to 1987, where he designed and developed artificial joints for knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and wrist replacement surgery. Dr. Yasgur then completed 10 years of medical training, including his MD with Honors from Cornell University Medical College, in 1991. After finishing a general surgery internship at NYU/Bellevue Hospital, he then did his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, one of the nation's premier orthopaedic hospitals. His training culminated in a fellowship for Knee Reconstruction and Sports Medicine in 1997 at the Insall-Scott-Kelly Institute of Beth Israel Medical Center-North. Dr. Yasgur is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
