Dr. Nana Tchabo
Overview
Nana Tchabo, MD, FACOG Dr. Nana Tchabo is dual board certified in gynecology-oncology and obstetrics and gynecology, with fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and robotic procedures. A native of Baltimore, MD, Dr. Tchabo is a gynecologic oncologist at Atlantic Health System’s Morristown and Overlook Medical Centers Women’s Cancer Center, part of the Atlantic Medical Group. After graduating from Brown University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a minor in women’s health, Dr. Tchabo attended Brown University School of Medicine for her medical degree, where she was cited for academic excellence. Dr. Tchabo completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Georgetown University in 2004 and pursued additional research training at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, and gynecologic oncology fellowship training at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Committed to cancer prevention and survivorship, Dr. Tchabo is a principal investigator on many of the gynecologic cancer clinical research trials available at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. She also serves as associate residency director for Gynecology at Overlook Medical Center. Dr. Tchabo is an assistant clinical professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and is a former assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science.

Keenly interested in research, Dr. Tobias continues to bring clinical trials and research to his patients.As part of an integrated care team, Dr. Tobias treats gynecologic malignancies using a combination of modalities and advanced technologies to spare healthy tissue. His medical career includes many honors, awards, presentations and authored works.Dr. Tobias is affiliated with and involved in several professional societies including the Society of Gynecology Oncologists and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has extensive experience with radical surgery, intraperitoneal chemotherapy and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Tobias has performed robotic surgery since 2005, helped develop a comprehensive gynecologic oncology robotics program, and trains other physicians to perform robotics surgery.
