Overview
Dr. Smolenski�s cross-training in physical medicine, rehabilitation and pain medicine provides specialized skills to help him pinpoint the source of his patients� pain.
His goal is to identify an accurate diagnosis and then develop an appropriate, non-operative treatment plan. His treatment regimens utilize a full range of pain management techniques; from physical therapy, to pharmacologic management, to interventions such as epidurals, nerve root blocks, and spinal cord stimulation.
�I believe in assessing the whole person and not just a specific symptom or problem,� states Dr. Smolenski. �A big part of my job is to also educate patients about their particular disease process and enable them to take an active roll in their treatment and healing.�
In his free time, he stays busy at home helping his wife with his four young children � which include a set of triplets!.
