Dr. Carl J. Basamania

Dr. Anderson specializes in non-operative sports medicine. Dr. Anderson sees all age groups of active and athletic individuals but has a special interest in problems unique to the pediatric and adolescent age athlete. In evaluating patients, Dr. Anderson takes the time to identify the underlying causes of sports injuries and complex musculoskeletal conditions. After establishing an accurate diagnosis, he orchestrates conservative treatment programs that are comprehensive, multidisciplinary and intended to address both the causes and effects of injury. In addition to caring for active individuals of all ages, Dr. Anderson has provided medical care for the United States Diving Team, Pacific Northwest Ballet, NCAA and Pac 12 sports, numerous local high schools and club teams. He is also actively involved in teaching sports medicine and primary care orthopedics to medical students, residents, specialty fellows and practicing physicians both locally and nationally. Dr. Anderson was the editor of both editions (2000, 2010) of Care of the Young Athlete, a textbook on sports medicine published jointly by the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Anderson has served as Chair of the Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness for the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Examination Committee for the American Board of Pediatrics, the Physician Director for the Board of Certification of the National Athletic Trainer Association and on the Medical Advisory Committee for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. He is also a founder and director for Seattle Pediatric Sports Medicine. Dr. Anderson has been a Seattle Magazine and/or Seattle Metropolitan Magazine “Top Doctor” on multiple occasions. Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys swimming, golf, travel, urban exploration, home remodeling projects and spending time with family and friends. Matthew Jenkins, MD, is fellowship trained in shoulder and elbow surgery. He treats conditions of the shoulder and elbow with the most advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures, as well as shoulder replacements, rotator cuff repair and reconstruction, and fracture repair.He believes in taking time to educate his patients on their diagnosis and the cause of their shoulder and elbow problems to help them make informed decisions about their treatment. By keeping current with the newest techniques and advances, he offers leading edge treatments to get patients back in action as soon as possible.Dr. Jenkins enjoys a wide variety of outdoor sports and activities including rock climbing, alpine skiing, kayaking, fishing, mountaineering and backpacking. J. Scott Price, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spine surgery. He has a clinical interest in cervical spine disorders, thoracolumbar spine disorders, minimally invasive spine surgery, scoliosis, and pediatric spine conditions.He grew up locally, graduating from Juanita High School and attending the University of Washington. He enjoys skiing and marathon running throughout the United States.Dr. Price has traveled to both China and Lithuania on medical missions and has an active interest in overseas medicine. His interests also include outcomes research. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and American Medical Association.
