Dr. Paul Mogannam

Dr. Timothy O'Connor is Chairman of the Cancer program at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Ventura County, California.  He was a former assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA Medical Center after the completion of his residency at UCLA.  He has a special interest in robotic 6D image guided radiotherapy and its application across a broad spectrum of malignancies including breast cancer, CNS malignancies, head and neck malignancies as well as GI and GU malignancies.  Dr. O'Connor serves as President of Ventura County Radiation Oncology Medical Group,   Medical Director of the Radiation Oncology Centers of Ventura County, and Director of Radiation Oncology at the Ventura County Cancer Center. Dr. O'Connor led the accreditation of the Commission on Cancer Accreditation Program, the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the game-changing STAR Program for cancer rehabilitation for St. John's Regional Medical Center. He participates in weekly multidisciplinary cancer meetings bringing together specialists across oncology to discuss and review  and implement new strategies for cancer care for  specific patients.  His broad experience in multiple oncology roles  provides unique insight into cancer care within the community setting.My experience working with grief expert and author Elisabeth Kübler Ross led me toward the field of oncology. Her compassionate care for cancer patients inspired me, and she helped me to understand the relationship between life and death.
