He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his Internal Medicine residency and fellowship training in gastroenterology at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Immediately after fellowship, Dr. Gendler joined the staff of White Plains Hospital.
