Dr. Michael J. Hall

Umar Iqbal, MD is both a Faculty Physician with our Dignity Health Medical Group Family Medicine and serves as the Chief Medical Informatics Officer for Dignity Health Medical Group – Arizona. Dr. Iqbal’s expertise includes both Clinical Informatics and Family Medicine and he is board certified in Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Association of Medical Directors of Information System, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Iqbal received his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and a fellowship in Clinical Informatics at The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the college. Special interests include management of acute and chronic illness, population health, and using data and digital health tools to improve the patient experience, patient safety and quality.My mission, along with the Dignity Health Medical Group, is to focus on innovative clinical care and the pursuit of excellence through scholarly activities. This allows me to provide patients with state-of-the-art patient services and exceptional patient experiences.
