Dr. Efrem Gebremedhin is board-certified in endocrinology. He specializes in diabetes management as well as the evaluation and management of health concerns including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary, gonads, osteoporosis, hypertension, cholesterol and cancers of the endocrine glands. Dr. Gebremedhin received his medical degree from Jimma University in Ethiopia. He did internal medicine residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. He completed his Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism fellowship through a combined program at Harbor-UCLA (Torrance, CA) and City of Hope National Medical Center (Duarte, CA). He was practicing at Overland Park Endocrine and Diabetes Center for over 10 years before he moved to Folsom/Sacramento. He was recognized as a top regional doctor by Castle Connolly Regional top doctors, first edition in 2014.
