Overview
Philip Orons, MD, is an interventional radiologist and is certified in diagnostic radiology with a certificate of added qualification in angiography and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is the chief of interventional radiology at UPMC and a professor of radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Metropolitan Hospital-Central Division, followed by his fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He has been awarded fellowship in both the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the American Osteopathic College of Radiology (AOCR), and currently is a member of the AOCR Board of Directors and President of the AOCR Education Foundation.
