Overview
Craig P. Dobson, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist and is certified in pediatric cardiology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is clinical director of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Dobson received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, and then completed a residency in pediatrics at then Walter Reed Army Medical Center (now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center) followed by a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Dobson’s clinical interests include acquired cardiac conditions in children. He has published several peer reviewed manuscripts on topics pertaining to pediatric cardiology and has received several awards for his service as a physician and in the military, including the Order of Military Medical Merit in 2018 and the Master Clinician Award in 2020. At UPMC Children’s, Dr. Dobson will direct Cardiology Clinical Operations, working directly with the Heart Institute, the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute, and hospital leadership to support program development and strengthen existing services.
