He also collaborates nationally to enhance care for people with type 1 diabetes. Holding a joint appointment in the Division of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, Dr. Mathioudakis integrates machine learning and AI in diabetes research. He has served on the national Epic Endocrinology Specialty Steering Board and chaired the Type 2 Diabetes Prognostics Working Group for the Precision Medicine Diabetes Initiative.
