I am a surgeon specializing in trauma, emergency general surgery and critical care. I take care of patients who did not start their day planning to come to the hospital (or see a surgeon), who are often critically ill or injured. I love that I get to manage my patients’ care throughout the hospital, from the emergency room to the operating room to the intensive care unit to the general care floor. My typical patient is experiencing a challenging, life-altering event – my role is to guide patients and their families through this complex process while providing exceptional care and compassion.
