Alvin Su, MD, PhD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics. His clinical interests include sports medicine surgery of the knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and ankle, cartilage and meniscus injury treatment, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and other ligamentous reconstruction, and fracture care.He also has keen interest in martial arts and loves spending time with his two teenage children. His ultimate career goal is to promote the physical and mental health of all, by synergizing the merits that he learned from the East and the West. I love to help kids do what they enjoy, and help their childhood memories be as splendid as they can be. Being a father of two teens myself, kids’ smiles and laughter are always the light of my life. I’m passionate about all aspects of pediatric sports medicine, with an emphasis on the prevention and treatment of injuries in young patients. As a surgeon, I strongly believe that surgery is only necessary after all non-surgical options have been maximized.
