Dr. Kamat graduated Magna Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa from Brooklyn College SUNY Downstate Medical Center's prestigious BA/MD program. He completed a general surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center and an otolaryngology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary-Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. There, he received several honors such as the Chief Resident Award, Teaching Award, Research Award and the Turner Award for Residency Excellence. Dr. Kamat then went on to complete a Rhinology and Skull Base fellowship at the world-renowned Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He believes in providing his patients with personalized medical therapy, minimally invasive office procedures including balloon sinuplasty, and safe innovative techniques in sinus surgery that include image guidance technology, micro-instruments, and drug-eluting stents.
