Overview
I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. After college, I sustained an injury that landed me in the office of a foot and ankle surgeon and I knew I had found my calling. What I enjoy most about my work is getting my patients back on their feet and improving their quality of life. My interests include treating a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including diabetes, infections, wound care, sports medicine, preventive care and reconstructive foot surgery. I grew up in Hopkins, MN, and spent time in New Orleans and San Francisco pursuing my education. I was excited to return home for residency and establish my career here. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, cooking, playing fetch with my dogs and spending the weekends at the cabin with my husband and three daughters.

My goal as a foot and ankle surgeon is to improve the health and lives of my patients by resolving their pain, restoring normal ambulation, preventing amputation, and maximizing recovery after an injury. I am particularly interested in finding the best methods to treat complex foot and ankle fractures, deformities, infections, wounds, and arthritic conditions. I also enjoy teaching these methods to podiatric medical students, foot and ankle surgery residents, and practicing surgeons. Professional leadership activities at HealthPartners allow me to focus on important aspects of health care, like patient safety in the operating room and patient experience in the clinic. I also enjoy teaching at a number of medical conferences around the country each year and assist with the management of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, which is the flagship journal of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
