Overview
Being a pediatrician is so much fun, and being around children makes me happy. Every day I teach and counsel families, and every day they teach me something new. It is a true privilege to watch my patients grow and to have the opportunity to learn from them and build relationships with their families. I’m excited to teach residents and medical students about early childhood development and autism in the same way I was taught. I am lucky to have had great mentors in the field who taught me medicine in a very supportive environment. My mentors inspired in me curiosity, compassion and service and, by teaching the next generation of clinicians, I hope to pay it forward. As a pediatrician, I see myself as an advocate for children, always putting the patient’s needs first. I listen attentively to each child and family, identify what is needed, and then represent their voice. Much of my day-to-day work involves addressing any barriers the family may encounter in seeking and receiving coordinated care.
