Dr. Niemann serves as the Founder and Medical Director of Foot and Ankle Clinics of Arizona, PLC.Dr. Spencer Niemann began his career in Podiatric Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona in 2008. Dr. Niemann completed a three year medical and surgical residency training program at the Southern Arizona Veterans Health Care System in Tucson, Arizona. His residency included surgical training under the direction of many of Arizonas leading Podiatrists, and Foot and Ankle Orthopedists. He attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois where he was conferred the degree Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). He received a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma.Dr. Niemann is currently Board Certified in both Foot Surgery, and Rearfoot and Reconstructive Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Presently, he is serving as an Adjunct Attending, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, training Podiatry Residents. Doctor Niemann lectures to other Medical Professionals at St. Josephs Medical Center and Phoenix Childrens Hospital. Two years into practice, Dr. Niemann was named TOP Doctor 2010, by Phoenix Magazine, voted on by fellow physicians.Dr. Niemann treats some of the most challenging cases a Podiatrist can treat. He is also trained in the Lower Extremity Nerve Decompression, a procedure that has offered thousands of patients suffering from neuropathy, relief from their pain.Dr. Niemann speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys this ability to communicate with his Spanish speaking patient. My feet have hurt me my entire life! As a young athlete in high school I was diagnosed with a congenital foot problem, and the first doctor I saw offered to sell me his old violin and advised me to stop playing football.   Inspite of the physical limitation placed before me, I was undeterred to obtain my goal. I eventually found a doctor who listened to me and was very helpful in teaching me about my problem, and how to best deal with it.   I attended Utah State University on a full ride football scholarship. I continued to deal with my foot pain, and it was during this time, I decided I was going to help others with their foot problems.I know from first hand experience, it's important to be a doctor who listens to his patients, who is able to teach and communicate, and is able to present a helpful, individualized treatment plan for every patient.I find great satisfaction and happiness in helping people of all ages over come their foot pain and realize their physical goals.
