Dr. Linares obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Michigan and his medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Linares completed his fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. During his fellowship he became well versed in taking care of a wide range of sports injuries from adolescent to professional athletes as he was involved with the medical care of local surrounding high schools, colleges, the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He has won numerous prestigious awards in the field, including the ASES Neer Award, AOSSM Cabaud and Excellence in Research Awards, and is a member of the Herodicus Society.
