Dr. Geoffrey Cronen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in spinal deformity and reconstructive surgeries and is experienced with the most comprehensive and effective treatments for all areas of the spine — cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral and coccyx. Dr. Cronen’s Training Dr. Cronen received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Cronen completed an adult and pediatric spin surgery fellowship at Washington University / Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. About Dr. Cronen Dr. Cronen is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and a book. He serves as a clinical assistant professor for the Orthopedic and Spine Surgery Department at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Cronen also is a team physician for the Tampa Bay Lightning and spine doctor for the Toronto Blue Jays. Since 2007, he has been dedicated to volunteering his time helping children with spinal deformities at the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Tampa. Outside of work, Dr. Cronen enjoys spending time with family, cycling, snowboarding and water sports.
