Dr. Harry Lomas

Harry Lomas IV, M.D. is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in radiation treatment for many cancer types, including breast cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. Dr. Lomas is a team player who understands the multidisciplinary approach, technical expertise and compassion required to care for patients with cancer. He has experience with a variety of radiation therapy techniques, including brachytherapy, external beam radiation and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Lomas attended medical school at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida where he graduated with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News and residency training in radiation oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. His extraordinary experience includes over two decades in the US Army and multiple combat deployments with Special Operations Forces. He continues to serve in the Army Reserves as a flight surgeon. Dr. Lomas provides compassionate, state-of-the-art cancer treatment to all patients and provides an immediate sense of trust and safety during difficult times. To better serve patients and find effective treatments, Dr. Lomas conducts research in breast, prostate, lung and other cancers. His research experience is broad, with a special focus on using stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) to treat metastatic cancer. When not at work, Dr. Lomas enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking and surfing.
