Dr. Erickson is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in the Biological Basis of Behavior, a discipline that has helped him improve doctor-patient communication and better understand the patient perspective.Dr. Erickson’s post-graduate training also includes a fellowship at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, where he focused on procedures for the hand and upper extremity. He traveled to Lyon, France, for a shoulder surgery fellowship with renowned experts Gilles Walch, Arnaud Godeneche and Lionel Neyton at the Centre Orthopedique Santy. John has also completed a fellowship with one of New Zealand’s most high-volume and well-published upper extremity surgeons, Dr. Peter Poon.
