Dr. Bruce Levy is a board-certified orthopedic and sports medicine surgeon with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He is the academic chief of Sports Medicine and director of the institute’s Sports Medicine Surgical Fellowship program. He also was the program director for the Mayo Clinic Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship and the principal investigator for several multi-center trials funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Recognized as an international expert, Dr. Levy has chaired hundreds of symposia and instructional course lectures on complex knee and hip injuries. He is a consultant for the NBA and NHL Players Associations, a past team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and is currently the chief medical officer for the United Football League’s (UFL) Orlando Storm. Dr. Levy is a reviewer and editorial board member for numerous medical journals, and he has published more than 350 papers in scientific literature. He lectures extensively nationally and internationally and has been named one of the nation’s top doctors multiple times by Castle Connolly.
